The IDS Web Service

The IDS Web service provides tools to browse time series of DORIS-related products.

Besides products provided by the CNES Orbitography Team and the IDS components (Analysis Centers and Combination Center), this service allows comparing time evolutions of coordinates for DORIS and GNSS stations in co-location, thanks to a collaboration with the IGS Terrestrial Frame Combination Center.

See how to use the tools.

You can get to know DOR-O-T more in details by consulting the brochure online.

The tools

The tools proposed by this web service are:

Station position

Station position differences at observation epochs relative to a reference position (North, East and Up trended time series).

Combination parameters

Combination parameters i.e. outputs of the IDS Combination Center analysis (WRMS of station position residuals, scale and translation parameters, number of stations used in the analysis).

Earth Orientation Parameters

Earth Orientation Parameters from the IDS Combination Center analysis (Xp, Yp, LOD).

Orbit residuals

Orbit residuals and amount of station measurements from CNES Precise Orbit Ephemeris processing (RMS of post-fit orbit residuals, total and validated number of DORIS measurements per arc).
Values are output from the routine processing, discontinuities may occur because of switchs to new POE standards adopted by CNES. Reprocessings of whole orbit sets are not considered in this tool.

Position residuals

Position residuals of the cumulative solution from the IDS Combination Center analysis (North, East, Up).

Network viewer

A network viewer to select sites.
You can display: DORIS sites since network deployment start; IGS sites colocated with DORIS; Plate boundaries from Bird, 2003; Horizontal and vertical velocity vectors from DPOD2014 solution; Earthquakes with a magnitude >=6 around DORIS stations (USGS source).
You can access to the DORIS combined time series from the IDS Combination Center and GNSS combined time series at colocated sites from the IGS TRF Combination Center.

About the data

Time series of DORIS Station coordinates, Combination Parameters, Earth orientation parameters and Position residuals are produced by the IDS Combination Center.
They are derived from the creation of the combined products (named ids) and from the analysis of the contribution of each IDS Analysis Centers (see corresponding 3-character codes here) .

Station coordinates time series are obtained from the STCD available on the IDS Data Centers (CDDIS, IGN).
The files can also be downloaded through the data selection table.

Orbit performance time series are outputs of the CNES POE processing for the DORIS missions.
Yearly plots per satellite and per station are available here.

Events proposed as additional data (station, satellite, earthquake) are taken from the list of the main events that occurred on the DORIS system elements.
This list can be seen here.

About the plot tools

The plot tools contain utilities for selecting charts to plot, displaying time series, changing plot appearance, specifying scaling, downloading data, plots and graph statistics in several formats. They are equipped with statistic tools for the calculation of mean, slope and rms. Several series can be viewed and compared on the same graph. Additional data can also be displayed, such as station or satellite events.
